Welcome to Perfect Paws Behaviour Solutions!

Georgia is the founder and director of Perfect Paws Behaviour Solutions, dedicated to helping dogs and their owners build strong, positive relationships through modern, force-free, and reward-based training methods. With a deep passion for animal welfare and behaviour, Georgia brings a wealth of experience from veterinary nursing, animal shelters, and professional dog training.

Her journey in the animal care industry began in 2011 when she started her career as a veterinary nurse. Working in various vet clinics, she gained invaluable hands-on experience, developing a strong understanding of both the medical and behavioural aspects of animal care. In 2016, she expanded her expertise by running puppy classes and pursuing further education in animal behaviour and training through the nationally recognised Delta Institute.

Throughout her career, Georgia has worked extensively in animal shelters, specialising in behaviour rehabilitation and working with dogs needing extra support. Her experience in both shelter environments and veterinary clinics has given her a well-rounded approach to training, allowing her to tailor programs to suit dogs of all backgrounds and behavioural challenges. She is particularly passionate about working with dogs exhibiting aggression and reactivity, helping them become more confident and manageable through ethical, science-based training techniques.

Georgia also has a keen interest in puppy development and early learning. She believes in setting young dogs up for success by preventing behavioural issues before they start, using enrichment, socialisation, and positive reinforcement techniques. Her training philosophy prioritises the welfare of both dogs and their guardians, ensuring a compassionate and effective approach to behaviour modification.

Meet Our Team

Dog Trainer & Group Training Instructor

Sarah

Sarah has been a valued member of the Perfect Paws team since early 2024, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience in the animal care industry. Her journey started in leading pet supply stores, where she worked as a manager before transitioning into dog training. She went on to become a dedicated trainer for a large retail establishment, running an average of eight classes per week, from puppy training to more advanced manners courses.

Sarah’s passion for dog behaviour began apparent around 2017, and since then, she has been committed to expanding her knowledge and skills. Taking a leap of faith, she completed her Certificate IV in Companion Animal Services, where she spent a year learning from another experienced dog trainer and teacher at Box Hill Institute. This experience solidified her love for dog training and inspired her to pursue further education. In 2023, she enrolled in the Delta Institute Professional Dog Trainers Course, and she is now in the final stretch of completing her qualification.

At Perfect Paws, Sarah plays a crucial role in assisting with group classes and also leads other courses independently. Her expertise, dedication, and enthusiasm for training make her a fantastic addition to our team. She also has a great sense of humour!

Sarah’s passion for behaviour training is deeply personal—her journey was inspired by her own dog, Harley, a beautiful but reactive Staffy she adopted in 2018. Through patience, consistency, and reward-based training, she has helped Harley progress to the point where he can now pass other dogs calmly on walks with minimal issues. Her firsthand experience with reactive dogs allows her to empathise with clients and provide practical, effective solutions.

We are lucky to have Sarah on board, and her knowledge, experience, and passion continue to benefit both the dogs and guardians she works with.

Dog Trainer & Junior Skills Class Co-Instructor

Amanda

Amanda is a passionate and dedicated dog trainer, bringing her wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience to our Junior Skills programs every Thursday night. With years of experience in group training and a sound knowledge of dog behaviour and training, Amanda is committed to fostering better relationships between dogs and their families.

Currently in the final stages of completing her Certificate IV in Animal Behaviour and Training with the Delta Institute, Amanda has been running group training classes since 2022. She also volunteers with two community dog training schools and contributes her time to Assistance Dogs Australia whenever she can, demonstrating her dedication to giving back to the dog training community.

Before entering the world of professional dog training, Amanda enjoyed a successful career as an office manager.

However, her passion for working with both dogs and their owners inspired her to make a career change and pursue dog training! Amanda is passionate about positive, force-free training to help dog’s and their families.

Amanda shares her home with her much-loved Standard Poodle, Murphy, who enjoys an active lifestyle filled with ball games, bubble-chasing, and exploring new places.

Amanda has also participated in various dog sports and disciplines, including obedience, agility, rally, and flyball, bringing a well-rounded approach to her training style. You’ll have the opportunity to meet Amanda at our Junior Skills classes!
